iPhoto has been discontinued by Apple and has been replaced by the Photos application in OS X Yosemite. The app is no longer available for download or use. Download.com presents data on the last available version for informational purposes only.

iPhoto 11 is the latest version of Apple's popular photo manipulation and sharing app. With iPhoto 11 you can touch up photos, create slideshows, organize photos in albums, and share photos quickly via social media and photo sites.

iPhoto 11 is simple to use. The interface lets you quickly upload photos from attached devices, open folders of images, or grab photos from other sources. Once you have all the photos imported, you can create albums and slideshows that act like movies, and share them with others easily. A cool new feature in iPhoto 11 called Photo Stream lets you take a picture with an iPad or iPhone and have it automatically appear in iPhoto 11! The new version also makes it easier to e-mail or upload photos. Another new feature we really like is full-screen mode, which takes up your entire display instead of using frames. Forget buying a digital photo frame: your iMac or MacBook does a better job!

iPhoto 11 is an update of a popular app and we liked the changes. Photo Stream was the one we found ourselves using a lot, especially with the higher-res cameras on today's iDevices. The editing capabilities can turn an average shot into a great shot, but that's just scratching the surface of what iPhoto 11 can do.

Excellent!

As a person brand new to Apple products, this was a great way to learn about iPhoto. I was hoping to get in to the store for One on One training, but this has to be so much better! I was able to learn in the comfort of my own home, stop and start as needed, and even have the option of typing notes along the side of each lesson. Anyone that hasn't learned to use iPhoto yet should take the time and watch this course. I can't wait to get started organizing all of my favorite photos. I LOVED that it showed me how to import all of my photos from Facebook too. I have been posting my favorite photos for years to Facebook. I was able to retreive all of them last night and put them into my library on my MacBook :)
Also, the person that taught the course was very professional and pleasant to listen to. The volume of his voice was perfect and his pictures were so beautiful to look at that it made watching even more fun.

Outstanding!

I found this to be an outstanding introduction to iPhoto '11. I actually bought and watched Learn iPhoto '11 first, and based on what I saw, I was encouraged to go ahead and buy iPhoto '11.
The course is organized around the three main themes of how to organize, edit, and share your photos. There are approximately 20 individual videos averaging perhaps 5-6 minutes each. Each video is very focused on one or a few features of iPhoto, and illustrates very slowly and methodically how to use those features. I enjoyed the lack of hyperbole; the videos are simply a clear and straightforward explanation. Collectively, they'll save a ton of time in coming up to speed on using iPhoto. This is a tremendous value for the price.

Best Beginner to Pro Guide

I took a class at an Apple Store and was sorely disappointed...I was ready to abandon IPhoto. I knew the program was powerful, but I did not find it intuitive. However, this tutorial saved my sanity and gave me an outlet for my creativity. It moved at a good pace, giving me so much information but in bite size chunks so that I could process, practice and, some day, perfect. Thank you!
